The Great Peep Show Christmas Bake Off is heading to Channel 4 this festive season, reuniting the cast of the hit comedy series for the first time since 2015. But someone is missing from the baking line-up.

David Mitchell, Olivia Colman, Isy Suttie, Matt King and Sophie Winkleman will all be donning their Christmas jumpers for the festive special. However, Peep Show fans will notice that, sadly, Robert Webb is missing.

Peep Show aired on Channel 4 from 2003 to 2015. It followed the lives of flatmates Mark Corrigan, played by David Mitchell, and Jez Usbourne, played by Robert Webb.

Who are the celebrities taking part?

Five of the original Peep Show line-up will be taking part in The Great Peep Show Christmas Bake Off.

Olivia Colman played Mark’s love interest, Sophie, for seven series. Olivia has enjoyed a phenomenal TV career since her Peep Show days, appearing in shows including Broadchurch and The Crown. She is also an international movie star, recently appearing in Wicked Little Letters, Wonka, and Paddington in Peru.

Sophie Winkleman played Jez’s ex-girlfriend Big Suze. Sophie is the half sister of Traitors’ host Claudia Winkleman and has starred in Sanditon, Waking the Dead and Death in Paradise. She also plays Frances in BBC One hit drama, Wild Cherry.

Matt King played Jez’s bandmate, Super Hans. Matt is known for his roles in Australian comedy Starlings and Sky One drama Spirited. He also wrote the BBC2 series Whites, starring Alan Davies.

Isy Suttie will also be donning her apron for the festive special. She played Dobby in Peep Show, who dated Mark. Isy is a comedian, actress and an award-winning radio host.

How will The Great Peep Show Christmas Bake Off work?

The Bake Off Christmas special has become one of the festive TV highlights, and this year’s show looks like it’s going to be a cracker.

Under the watchful eyes of judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, the five celebrity bakers will try their best to avoid a soggy bottom and win a coveted Hollywood handshake for their Yuletide bakes.

Hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond are also back, bringing their usual laughter and chaos to the famous white tent.

The official Channel 4 announcement for the special says: “The group will attempt to whisk, knead and decorate their way to glory with challenges paying homage to Peep Show. But will their culinary creations rise to the occasion, or will they collapse like a poorly-proofed loaf?”

As the celebrities bake (or burn) their way through the show’s signature, technical and showstopper challenges, who will be crowned star baker of The Great Peep Show Christmas Bake Off?

Who won The Great Christmas Bake Off 2024?

Last year’s festive offerings from the show had a soap theme. EastEnders stars Natalie Cassidy and Dean Gaffney showed off their (questionable!) baking skills. Also baking were Coronation Street favourite Shobna Gulati and Emmerdale stars Chris Bisson and Sheree Murphy.

Chris was crowned star baker after impressing Paul and Prue with his festive baking skills. This included an ambitious biscuit scene showstopper of the Woolpack pub from Emmerdale.

Two festive specials aired last year. A Christmas episode that aired on Christmas Eve and a New Year episode that aired in January.

Channel 4 is yet to announce if there will be a second festive special for 2025 and when The Great Peep Show Christmas Bake Off will air.
