This week on screen, Carl’s gun went off, and Maria suspected Gary of cheating. What a rollercoaster! Beyond this week, we’re looking forward to the new few months of exciting Corrie drama. Here’s what’s to come on the cobbles. Jodie’s a real mystery (Credit: ITV) 1. Shona’s sister Jodie Jodie Ramsey is quite the mystery but there’s no denying that she knows some pretty dodgy people. With Jodie having just recently tried to lure David into bed and wanting to get revenge on Shona, she’ll stop at nothing. Cassie’s exit Cassie Plummer will be leaving the Street as actress Claire Sweeney joins the UK tour of Annie the Musical, in the role of Miss Hannigan. Eva and Ben were amongst the characters filming the scenes (Credit: ITV) 3. Shock court scenes Many Coronation Street stars have been spotted filming shock court scenes. What’s happening in court is currently a mystery. But, the only real thing that connected all the characters who were filming was Megan. So, could this finally be her facing justice? Some fans noticed that the character of Maggie wasn’t alongside the others. They feared this confirmed she was going to be the mystery death. However, some other fans predicted that the reason she – or Megan – weren’t seen was because they think it’s Maggie’s trial, and she had just killed Megan. 4. Trauma for Betsy After finding a dead body on the cobbles on the night of April 23, Betsy Swain’s traumatised by the whole event. She’s also preparing for a ‘coming of age’ storyline involving Dylan Wilson, and she’ll turn brunette too! We wonder what’s in store for the character?! In coming weeks, Betsy will announce her plan to go to a London Fashion College. We have a feeling this might not work out though. Kit’s party will reveal the killer’s true identity (Credit: ITV) 5. Theo’s killer finally revealed With Kit Green deciding to host a dinner party soon, special scenes will see viewers finally learn who Theo Silverton’s true killer is. Other secrets are also due to spill out at this event, with Maria even accusing Sarah and Gary of having an affair. Who killed Theo though? And, are the police close to catching the true culprit? Leanne looks set to fall head over heels (Credit: ITV) 7. Love interest for Leanne Battersby Leanne loves to keep it in the family when she chooses her lovers. First she fell for Kal Nazir and now, years later, she’s about to catch the eye of Alya’s cousin Idris. Corrie producer Kate Brooks told Digital Spy: “Idris is very charming – the charm oozes out of every pore of this guy! “He’s a savvy businessman and he’s got a bit of a ruthless streak. He’s not ready to get his hands even slightly dirty! But he can charm the birds from the trees. “Idris is a new love interest for Leanne. The attraction is instantaneous. It gives Leanne a new lease of life. She’s been harbouring a deep-rooted resentment towards Toyah and Nick, because that’s the life she had.” Sam’s hallucinations continue (Credit: ITV) 8. Sam’s mental health struggles With Sam Blakeman having just been taken to hospital following Carla’s fears that he’s in psychosis, coming weeks will see his family feel guilty for not recognising the scenes sooner. But, can Sam get the help he needs now that he’s gone to hospital?
