What happened in Emmerdale tonight (Monday): Clemmie the prime suspect in Joe attack after lashing out and Ross a broken man
Steph ended their relationship
In Emmerdale tonight (Monday May 5) Joe saw the dark side of being a stepdad when Clemmie attacked him. But is she the one who pushes him later this week?
Meanwhile, Ross was left devastated after Steph called things off. Can he persuade her to change her mind?
Here’s the lowdown on everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight.

Clemmie attacked
Joe wants to be part of family life, but Dawn is keeping him at arms length. Joe was clearly jealous of Billy staying with them again. He wants them to be out in the open. But Dawn told him to ‘deal with it’.
However, as it became clear Billy was enjoying getting his feet back under the table, Dawn asked him to move out again. She told Joe he had nothing to be jealous about and kissed him – witnessed by Clemmie. Shocker!
Dawn found Clemmie upset and tried to get to the bottom of it. Clemmie claimed she had stomachache and stormed off.
Joe stepped in to try and talk to Clemmie, offering a cinema trip to get to know them all. But Clemmie blurted out she knew what he had done and she saw him kissing Dawn.
As Joe tried to explain himself Clemmie lashed out and bit him. Ouch. She stormed off leaving Joe stunned. This puts Clemmie in position to be prime suspect later this week when Joe is attacked – but is she capable of worse than this?

Ross left heartbroken in Emmerdale tonight
Oh poor Ross, we just want to give him a hug! It’s not often he lets himself be this vulnerable and the Steph goes and stomps all over his heart.
So, it started when she saw Ross in the village and apologised for her actions last week. He told her she had not frightened him off. He begged her not to push him away.
Ross opened up about his acid attack and how meeting Rebecca had allowed him to be happy again (we’re still not over Emmerdale killing her off tbh). He wanted to be there for Steph in the same way and confessed he loves her. But Steph ran away at the confession.
Ross followed her and told her he’d booked them a spa getaway – seriously, could he get any cuter?! Steph told him he deserved better than her and it wasn’t fair for them to be together while she was in recovery. He begged her not to end things, but she was sure this was the only way.
Also in Emmerdale tonight…

Cain was upset over Nate
Brooding Cain was avoiding spending time with his family, he said he needed to be at work. However, Moira wasn’t taking no for an answer and told him he was coming with her to watch Kyle’s match.
Cain realised she was right and he couldn’t fixate on Nate forever. So he went and then played football with the family and promised to be a much better dad to Kyle and Isaac than he was to Nate.

Gail finally had an idea
Excited Gail had finally come up with an idea for a theme night: a couple’s quiz. She’s called it: The Mr versus The Mrs. Charity suggested she might want to shorten it and call it Mr and Mrs – Gail thought it was a great idea. Mandy then helped Gail come up with some ‘creative’ questions and the night is on.
Kim is planning a surprise
Sam asked Kim for the day off for Lydia’s 50th birthday. He wanted to take her ferret racing. Kim was not impressed and insisted she would throw Lydia a glam birthday party at Home Farm.
Kim even invited Caleb and Ruby – what harm could that do, eh?!
