Emmerdale set for ‘who attacked Joe’ storyline, fans predict
Is Joe in danger?
Fans of Emmerdale have predicted that the soap is set for a whodunnit involving an attack on Joe Tate. With Caleb’s suspicions growing over Joe’s involvement in his attack – and Dawn set to leave her husband for him – Joe is racking up enemies in the village at the moment.
Between his leaving a jacket full of pills at the Miligans’ home and Noah with a headful of visions, Joe’s not doing a great job of hiding his secret, either. And that’s not to mention his affair with Dawn… How will Billy react when he learns what Joe’s been up to?
When this does all come out, some fans have wondered whether the soap might be setting up its next whodunnit. Is Joe’s retribution incoming?

Someone to attack Joe in Emmerdale whodunnit, fans predict
Writing on a Reddit thread yesterday (Wednesday, April 16), fans shared their theories. And many agreed that a whodunnit could be imminent.
“Anyone else think there’s gonna be a “who attacked Joe?” storyline in the not too far future? The truth about what he did to Caleb is set to come out tomorrow which means the other stuff will likely follow suit,” said one fan.
“I think they will [not kill him off, like you said, but very badly beaten/almost killed]. A bit like when Cain was acting like a right cocky [expletive] in 2011, and there was a who-dun-it of who attacked him badly with a tyre iron,” agreed another.
“This Tate is about to be caught out through and could wind-up as whodunnit at the end of it!” a third said on X.
“I think Joe’s gonna get killed off in a who done it storyline. I hope I’m wrong cause @nedporteous is the best thing to happen to Emmerdale in years. Love his character however shifty,” predicted another.
With a list of potential suspects which includes Ross, Noah, Charity and more, there’d be no shortage of suspects if Emmerdale did head down that route.
Will someone lash out at Joe over his many crimes?
