John’s future decided by Emmerdale fans as they insist he needs to be killed off
There’s no coming back
As more revelations about John Sugden in Emmerdale come to light, fans insist he needs to be killed off.
It’s recently been revealed that John has somewhat of a hero complex, which resulted in him killing Nate Robinson.
As his lies continue to catch up with him, fans say there is only one way for John to go now.

John’s lies in Emmerdale
Emmerdale recently aired a special episode, where John’s secrets were revealed to the viewers.
The biggest of which involved Nate. While everyone believes Nate run off to work in Shetland, he actually didn’t make it out of the village.
After a beating from Cain, Nate came across John. John insisted on helping Nate with his injuries, but in an attempt to make things look worse and have people believe he had saved Nate’s life, John injected Nate with a sedative. Tragically, Nate had a reaction to the sedative and he died, leaving John to dispose of Nate’s body in the lake.
It also came to light that John was responsible for drugging Chas, throwing the brick through the pub window, emailing Belle to cancel Chas’s wedding and giving Jacob a drink he was allergic to. All in the name of playing the hero.
John has also continued to lie to fiancé Aaron. However, thanks to Mack, this week, Aaron became aware of the truth regarding Aidan Moore. After telling everyone Aidan was dead – even going as far as to get teary while discussing his funeral – it turns out he isn’t dead at all.
With so many lies and crimes behind him, is there any coming back for John?

Fans insist John Sugden must die
Some viewers have suggested that there is only one possible outcome for John – he needs to be killed off!
Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: “The show is going to have to kill John off, presumably after he kills someone else to annihilate any viewer empathy. Not only is he a murderer and likely a psychopath, as well as a boring character, dramatically speaking how absurd would it be if poor Aaron had TWO Sugden lover brothers in prison for murder?! Ridiculous even by cringe-worthy stolen-kidney standards, which is really saying something.”
Other fans agreed, with one writing: “His character is obviously not sustainable with all those bonkers criminal antics of his. So yes I’m sure we’ll be waving a permanent goodbye to him soon.”
Another fan said: “Only acceptable way out of this for John is in a bodybag.”
