This week on-screen has been packed full of more drama as Cain had his operation and then went all-out for revenge on Robert and spoilers for the summer are showing no signs of the action slowing down! Also this week, Dr Todd started to blackmail Charity. At first she wanted £10k, but now she’s upped it to £100k. Ouch. We already know from spoilers for Monday, May 18 to Friday, May 22 there’s plenty more drama to come when Joe finds out what Dawn has been plotting and then she’s found unconscious at the bottom of the stairs. Has he killed her? Also next week, Charity is forced to sell-up to Kim Tate as she scrambles to get Dr Todd’s money. Will that be enough? Beyond this, we can also look forward to watching some big storylines finally reaching their end, some huge characters may be saying goodbye – and some other villagers getting a chance to shine. Is Jamie Tate coming back? (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) 2. More Tates and Sugdens on their way to Emmerdale! In the same interview Laura said her focus is on building out the Tate and Sugden families. She said she wants the show to remember Sarah is a Sugden and with Jacob having the Sugden name it puts them firmly in that camp. “There’s going to be a couple of arrivals to strengthen both the Tate and Sugden clans,” she confirmed, without giving away who. Talk has immediately turned online to the possibility of either a Jamie Tate return. Or the comeback of Zoe Tate’s daughter, Jean, who Joe grew up with in New Zealand. Or could it be another Tate we’ve never even heard of before? Ross’ new love interest is something of a shock (Credit: ITV) 3. Ross and Laurel Yep, we didn’t have this on our bingo card either, but apparently it is happening! Ross is going to have his eye on Laurel Thomas. “We know he loves an older woman,” Laura told Inside Soap. “So there’s going to be a little dalliance between Ross and Laurel.” Laura continued: “But what we’re also seeing is Gabby beginning to become a little bit smitten with Ross. So, we’ll see how she reacts when she finds out that the other woman in Ross’ life is Gabby’s stepmother!” Awkward! Look who’s back, Sadie’s back! (Credit: ITV) 4. Sadie King is back in Emmerdale spoilers Emmerdale confirmed on Thursday May 14 the rumours are true: Patsy Kensit is making a comeback to the Yorkshire Dales. Jimmy King‘s ex-wife first arrived in 2004 and departed in 2006. And boy did she cause trouble while she was there. Of her return, show producer Laura Shaw said: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patsy Kensit back to the cast and crucially to see the iconic Sadie King storm back into the village. “Her return will be explosive and guaranteed to shock. Sadie’s seductive demeanor, combined with her utterly ruthless nature, are set to deliver a spectacular and highly dramatic touch of class to the Yorkshire Dales.” Patsy is equally as thrilled about her comeback. She said: “I am really excited to return to Emmerdale. I treasure the years I was here before. “Sadie King is a character that I really loved playing. The cast and crew are absolutely brilliant and I am so grateful for the chance to return to the show, it’s absolutely amazing.” Kev is returning! (Credit: ITV) 5. Kev is also back! Patsy’s return might have divided fans, but the news of Kev’s comeback is exactly what we’ve been waiting for! Chris Coghill is returning to Emmerdale as Kev Townsend later this year. He will make a triumphant return to our screens, as his new business venture causes some trouble for the villagers. After leaving the village to let Robert live out his life with Aaron, Kev will be back in the Emmerdale mix in no time. Emmerdale producer, Laura Shaw confirmed: “Both Chris and the character of Kev made a massive impact on the show last year, so Chris is most definitely back by popular demand. “With Kev’s son, Lewis, in the village still unaware of who his father is, it’s safe to say that there’s a lot of unfinished business and drama ahead.” Chris also spoke about his Emmerdale return. He said: “I’m really pleased to be returning to Emmerdale. I had a brilliant time last year. Kev is a complex character that I love playing. He has psychopathic tendencies but also an energy and vulnerability that I think makes him pretty unique. I’m properly looking forward to getting back at it.” We have been assured Kev is purely back for Lewis and will leave Robert and Aaron alone. Phew! Dawn means business (Credit: ITV) 6. An exit for Dawn? It was reported recently that Emmerdale has ‘axed’ Olivia Bromley as Dawn Fletcher after eight years in the soap. A source told The Sun: “Olivia is adored by everyone at Emmerdale so the decision to axe her has not gone down well at all. “She’s a popular member of the cast and if they can get rid of Olivia then the feeling is virtually no-one is safe. “Olivia understood their decision and is preparing to film her exit in the coming months.” The news of Olivia’s exit is said to have gone down badly with other members of the cast. Olivia’s set to film her leaving scenes later this year, however the exact date of her departure is unknown, but is likely to be around the summer time. No details of her end storyline have been given, but now she knows what Joe has been doing to Moira and is pregnant with his baby, she wants nothing to do with him. She is setting him up, with help from Moira and Belle, to take everything from him, starting with his money and then his heart. Next week it’s confirmed Joe knows exactly what she’s up to and then she’s found unconscious at the bottom of the stairs. Is this her exit, will Dawn die? Or is there more to come from this plot yet? Is Kim being played? (Credit: ITV) 7. What is Graham up to? They might have given in to their passion recently, but Graham quickly regretted it and tried to kill Kim! She believes she accidentally took too many painkillers and it was a sign to slow down. However we know it was Graham. He has said he is going to “try something else” to get rid of her, but Andrew Scarborough who plays Graham has revealed he’s not sure Graham does want to kill Kim. In fact, he thinks feelings are still there between them. So will this end in death or romance? Graham is also secretly working with someone in this plot, so who is it? What is he up to overall? There must be more to come from his return… Cain is not really coping (Credit: ITV) 8. Cain’s cancer fight We have seen Cain find out he is battling aggressive prostate cancer. He has undergone a radical prostatectomy and knows that surgery could have serious side-effects including incontinence and erectile dysfunction. Cain has survived the operation, but now the real fight comes as he battles to rebuild his life and face the after-effects. Can Cain cope with this? He’s struggling with his catheter right now and is embarrassed by it all. But how will he cope once it comes out? With Dr Liam urging him to leave his pride at the door, can Cain really do that? Charity is facing losing everything in Emmerdale spoilers (Credit: ITV) 9. Charity’s secret sees her lose everything in Emmerdale spoilers Charity has so far kept her baby lie a secret, until Dr Todd found out. She is now blackmailing her and wants £100k for her silence. Desperate Charity will be forced to sell the pub to Kim Tate to pay Todd off. But speaking on This Morning earlier this week, Emma Atkins, who plays Charity, explained there’s more to come. “There’s a trajectory that it’s going to keep going for some time,” she revealed. The actress then teased the truth about the baby will come out, but she’s only being drip-fed parts of the storyline. “[The secret] has to [come out] at some point, but it’s going to heat up. She’s [Todd] coming on to her patch in Emmerdale, she’s getting involved with Vanessa and she’s like ‘why are you here? What do you want?’. So it’s going to go quite dark, I think.” With Todd in control for now, can Charity get the upper hand back again? Or is she set to lose everything this time? Are Mack and Charity end game? (Credit: ITV) 10. Where does Charity’s heart lie? Charity and Mack have been described as a “big love story” by Laura Shaw. But many fans still want to see her reunited with Vanessa Woodfield. Charity is currently doing all she can to keep Todd away from Vanessa. Although that’s under the reasoning that she needs to keep her big baby secret, but are the sparks still there for Charity and V? And can Charity and Mack make it when her secret does come out? Or will her dalliance with Ross be the end of them for good? Kammy is clearly hiding something (Credit: ITV) 11. Kammy’s backstory explained in Emmerdale spoilers Little is known about mysterious Kammy, as Aaron Dingle points out next week. But we are soon to find out. Speaking on the Inside Soap’s Soap Scoop podcast, Shebz Miah confirmed that there will be more to come from Kammy this year. As it turns out, Shebz has had the meeting with the Emmerdale bosses, to discuss the finer details of a long-term storyline. He explained: “You guys are in for a surprise, I’ll tell you that. It’s a hot topic at the moment with Kammy. Everyone is always asking me: ‘When do we get to learn more about him and understand what’s happening?'” Shebz admitted he has spent the last lot of months in meetings with producers and writers, trying to come up with a worthy backstory. And finally, they have one, and even Shebz didn’t “imagine” what it was. He said: “Honestly, it was a mixture of emotions when I found out. There was a lot of relief, there was happiness. But then, there is also a tragic side to it as well. “There’s some tragedy in there. But it all makes sense.
