As the news beds in – although Cain is trying his damnedest to stay in denial – his anger begins to mount. Soon Cain is lashing out at anyone who comes across him. Sarah and Liam bear the brunt as Cain reaches breaking point, and yells at them both about his overwhelming burdens. Again, he storms off to try and deal with his demons alone. He finds himself later sitting at dad Zak’s graveside, struggling to cope with the devastation that’s now on his shoulders. Doctors found it by chance as Cain went to hospital after being shot and injured during the gun confrontation between John and Robert. During the heartbreaking scene, Cain learned it doesn’t necessarily mean a “death sentence”. However, this latest development is sure to get Cain fearing the worst, especially after he lost mum Faith to cancer.
