The fallout of the Irish Civil War seen though the lens of intergenerational trauma, looking at how it impacted on the state and subsequent generations of those involved. The opening episode explores the atrocities of Ballyseedy and the assassination of Kevin O'Higgins. These events had a profound impact on the families of the victims and left a lasting legacy of bitterness on the Irish political landscape. Focusing on the Fullers, O'Connor and O'Higgins-O'Malley families, the film follows their path of reconciliation as they move beyond their trauma to use their experiences in the cause of peace
