Türkiye v USA

Türkiye v USA (Kick-off 3.00am). Laura Woods presents coverage of the Group D match at Los Angeles Stadium in Inglewood, USA. Four of the five previous meetings between these nations have taken place since the turn of the century, and all of them have ended in a 2-1 scoreline. Two were in favour of the Americans, and the other two went the way of the Turkish, including the most recent encounter in June last year, when Arda Güler and Kerem Aktürko?lu were on the scoresheet in East Hartford, Connecticut. While the Crescent-Stars haven't appeared at a World Cup since 2002, the Americans had two group-stage matches against European opposition four years ago, beginning their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Wales that saw Gareth Bale equalise late on from the penalty spot after Timothy Weah had given USMNT the lead in the first half, before they moved on to play England in their second game, which ended in a drab 0-0 draw. With analysis from Juan Mata, Ange Postecoglu and Bradley Wright-Phillips, and commentary by Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon
