Saving Lives at Sea
Searching for a Pulse
Season 11 Episode 5 of 10
When a kayaker calls a friend to say she's in trouble out at sea, the line suddenly goes dead, and the Happisburgh lifeboat crew finally find her over a mile off shore, face down and unresponsive. In St Helier, the capital of Jersey, a family have had to abandon their grounded yacht, leaving four young children in a life raft. On the north Yorkshire coast, the Withernsea crew respond to a 999 call from a young man cut off on some notoriously unstable cliffs. And in Littlehampton, West Sussex, a mayday call comes in from a dive boat that has lost engine power - leaving two of its divers drifting away
