Derek Brockway sets off on two contrasting walks. He heads for the hills above Aberdyfi, where he explores the surrounding countryside above the Dyfi estuary and enjoys a walk along the beach. After this he visits Merthyr Tydfil, and learns about its industrial heritage on a trek to two castles, during which he takes in some impressive iron furnaces and valley views
