Fifteen miles west of Galway city along the shore of Galway Bay lies the townland of An Lochán Beag. Síle Nic Chonaonaigh finds a resilient and confident community still very much connected to its local landscape. She meets with a local beekeeper creating a safe habitat for our native bees, she meets a young and informative family along the shoreline and heads out into the bay in a curragh with a local mother and daughter. Before Síle leaves, she learns of a local tragedy from 1917 that remains very much in the thoughts of locals to this day
