A scientist is told how he will die by a mysterious old man - a prediction that comes true. Another scientist is later murdered, his body frozen with a chemical that is currently still being developed by a colleague of both victims. Mulder believes the old man has access to this chemical as he has travelled back from the future to stop their work being completed
