The Star Princess is three weeks into her 28-day Caribbean voyage, when events and guest services supervisor Melissa from Southport finds herself playing cupid, helping frequent cruiser Phil to put the finishing touches to an engagement celebration for his new fiancée, Erin. Meanwhile, the ship's entertainment cast are approaching the end of their five-month contracts that have taken them from strangers to family, and a fresh troupe is arriving to learn the ropes, among them cruising rookie Zahra, just 23 years-old and on her first professional contract since college. Cast manager Emma is handing over to her boyfriend, Charles, adding an extra layer to an already emotional changeover. On the Mexican island of Cozumel, best friends Ronan and Alex join Phil and Erin and squeeze into tiny Scoot Coupes to explore. As evening falls, cruise director Dan steps into the spotlight, performing his own show in front of his dad for the very first time, before Melissa's carefully laid plans finally come together for Phil and Erin's romantic balcony dinner
