The duo investigate the births of five babies with tails in a small town. All five infants have the same father, to the shock of the mothers who each claim to have slept only with their husbands. While Scully suspects a rapist drugging his victims, the man in question turns out to be a mutant with the ability to change his appearance, who kidnaps Mulder and assumes his identity
