Part one of two. Documentary about how the singer got mixed up in organised crime. While Elvis rises to fame, his mysterious manager, Colonel Tom Parker, fixates on Las Vegas, gambling in Mob-run casinos and forging shady ties. By the 1960s, Vegas is both Elvis's playground and prison. As the decade closes, Parker plots a long-range residency for Elvis in Sin City, where the Mob still run the show
