The Repair Shop at Christmas
The Repair Shop at Christmas
The craft experts spread a little more Christmas joy by restoring beloved items - and this year they are visited by special guests including Helen Mirren, who brings along a dilapidated cello belonging to a care home for people who have worked in the entertainment industry. Also popping in are children's author Julia Donaldson and Rob Brydon, who are seeking a repair to a toy farmhouse given to Julia by her granny. But the experts don't stop there. They also repair a life-size mechanical Rudolph belonging to Leicestershire Fire Service, a broken sledge that has seen 80 years of service for a Northern Ireland family and a tattered carol book that has played a central role as part of a local tradition in Sheffield
The Repair Shop at Christmas airs on BBC Two HD at 3:45 AM, Sunday 28 December. (Subtitles, repeat, sign language, audio description.)
