In 2016, the parents-turned-sleuths have tracked Megan and Jean down to Disney World in Florida and are still questioning how ill the teenager really is. They can see that people are still donating to the fundraising campaign, many of them also parents of sick children, and so they resolve to raise the alarm that Meg might not be ill at all, but then a tragedy makes them question everything they have uncovered
