Inspector Anton Sullivan receives a hug from a stranded motorist after a roadside rescue, but soon after stops a car with a filthy numberplate and gets an earful from the angry motorist. After a call comes in from a petrol station to report a vehicle driving off without paying, PC Niaz Waddington catches up with the suspected thief and discovers it's not the only law the driver has broken. After stopping a white van, PC Mike Clark suspects the driver is involved in drugs and back at the station a search locates a hidden children's toy with sinister contents
