Algeria v Austria (Kick-off 3.00am). Coverage of the Group J match at Kansas City Stadium in the USA, as both sides play their final group game. This is just the second meeting between these two teams, with the previous coming 44 years ago in the first group stage of the 1982 World Cup. That fixture saw Austria come away with a 2-0 victory, which helped them progress to the next stage of the tournament at the expense of the Algerians in controversial circumstances. Austria and West Germany knew that a 1-0 win for the Germans in the final group game between the nations would see both teams progress, and so they played out the match without serious attempts to score once the Germans took the lead. This game became known as the 'Disgrace of Gijon' and led to FIFA changing the rules for future tournaments, with all final group games being held simultaneously to avoid a reoccurrence
