Part one of two. The actress investigates the most infamous witch trials in history and explores their legacy today, beginning in the Lancashire town of Pendle, where she grew up, which was the site of one of the most notorious mass executions for witchcraft in English history. She also travels to Germany, the epicentre of brutal witch trials that swept through Europe 400 years ago
