Isa Guha presents coverage of day two of the tournament, held at the All England Club, where first-round matches continue in the men's and ladies' singles. Hubert Hurkacz was one of the early winners at this stage of 2024, claiming a 5-7, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Radu Albot on the No. 3 Court. Attention then switched to Centre Court, where 2024 ladies' title-winner Markéta Vondroušová kicked-off the day two proceedings as is tradition, but the champion fell at the first hurdle, losing 6-4, 6-2 to Jéssica Bouzas Maneiro. This year, that honour will fall to Barbora Krejcíková, who defeated Jasmine Paolini to win her maiden Grand Slam title
