Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer go head to head as they meet fed-up families whose homes no longer fit their requirements. After listening to their issues, Phil tries to persuade the owners to sell and upgrade on the property market, while Kirstie argues that investing, either by extending or redesigning, is the wiser move. In the first programme, Paul and Dawn, their three children, and his twin 17-year-old daughters from a previous relationship, find their current home isn't working for them any longer. While Kirstie suggests a complete overhaul, Phil is doing what he does best and finds a selection of alternative properties
