The story of the team led by Robert Oppenheimer that developed the atomic bomb, made to mark the 80th anniversary of the first nuclear weapons being detonated over Japan. Thousands of black-and-white photographs and hundreds of reels of film survive, capturing the game-changing years of the Manhattan Project. This documentary transforms these rarely seen images and restores and repairs priceless damaged film to bring these momentous events back to life
