Igor Figueiredo joined an illustrious list of past winners that includes the likes of Steve Davis, Mark Williams and Jimmy White when he overcame 1997 world champion Ken Doherty 5-2 in last year's showpiece match. The Brazilian became the first player from outside Europe to win the event, claiming a price of £20,000, plus an extra £5,000 for the highest break of the tournament, and also earning a place in the 2024 Champion of Champions tournament
