The Washington DC Open. Coverage of day four of the WTA 500 and ATP 500 event, a hard-court tournament held at William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in the USA. Dan Evans and Cameron Norrie both saw their participation at last year's event come to an end in the third round as they suffered straight-set losses to Corentin Moutet and Brandon Nakashima, respectively. There were no shock results at this stage 12 months ago with the highest-ranked player winning on each occasion, but the number 7 seed Alex de Minaur was pushed all the way 11th seed Jirí Lehecka before when winning 7-6 6-7 6-4
