Three Birmingham couples compete to host the best dinner party and win a cash prize. Amanda and her husband Anthony kick off the competition with an ambitious menu, before it's the turn of festival lover Oli and his girlfriend LC, who prepare a vegetarian menu for their guests. However, their evening is tainted by Anthony, who upsets several of the guests with an untoward remark. Civil partners Steve and Sean try to put the week's tension behind them as they focus on winning the cash prize
