Four-part adaptation of John Galsworthy's third novel, To Let. The saga begins in 1909 as Soames struggles to come to terms with the relationship between Irene and his love rival Young Jolyon, a matter made worse when he meets their son Jon, who soon befriends his own daughter, Fleur. Eleven years on, the now grown-up children meet at a modern art exhibition, and Soames is shocked to see them together. Jolyon arrives on the scene and warns his enemy to keep Fleur away from Jon, but the pair realise they have a common objective and resolve to work together to keep them apart - little knowing they have fallen in love.
