The mathematician explores stories emerging from the world of AI, meeting individuals whose lives have been transformed for better or worse by this new technology. Hannah begins by looking at the story of teenager Jaswant Singh Chail, who in 2021 began a relationship with an AI chatbot called Sarai. Over three weeks, they exchanged 5,000 messages and declared their love for one another and encouraged by Sarai, Jaswant broke into Windsor Castle with a crossbow on Christmas Day in an attempt to assassinate Elizabeth II
