Georgie's lifelong dream has been to own her very own dog. Now, with school and university behind her, Georgie and her mum Deb have come to the shelter to find a best friend to share the next phase of Georgie's life. But will energetic kelpie pup Diaz be too much for these first-time dog owners to handle? The Koscielski family - mum Charlie, dad Nik and boys Jasper, who's eight, and six-year-old Oliver - are complete dog novices, but when the family struggle to read placid staffy pup Travis's cues, Jasper isn't sure that Travis is for them. Can they form a connection? Lovebirds Mia and Josh have plenty of love to give a dog, but are they the right match for nervous rottweiler Girlie?
