
Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth - Disney+ announces brand new documentary about the late TV presenter
Natasha Rigler | 1:08pm Fri 12 SepDisney+ has announced a new documentary about the late TV presenter Caroline Flack, exploring the final months of her life.
The mini-series follows Caroline’s mother Christine as she tries to understand the events that led up to her daughter’s death.
The show will also celebrate the life of Christine’s famous daughter and chart the high and lows of her career. It will also feature first-hand accounts from Caroline’s friends and family.
Christine says: “I still have so many questions about what happened to Caroline in her final months, and it’s something I feel deeply compelled to explore, even though I know it will be challenging.”
Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth is produced by Curious Films, the same production company behind the 2021 Channel 4 documentary, Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death.
Christine adds: “I’m pleased to be working with the team at Curious Films once again, in the hope of bringing clarity and understanding to Carrie’s story – not just for her, but for everyone who cared about her.”
When did Caroline Flack die?
Caroline died on February 15, 2020. An inquest later ruled her death was suicide. She was 40 years old.
The day before her death, Caroline had found out she was going to be prosecuted for an alleged assault on her boyfriend, Lewis Burton. She had previously been arrested in December 2019 following the alleged attack.
Coroner Mary Hassell said Caroline’s mental health had deteriorated since then. She ruled Caroline had taken her own life after an “exacerbation and fluctuation” of ill health and distress.

What show’s did Caroline host?
Caroline was a much-loved TV presenter, hosting a range of entertainment shows. She was best-known for presenting ITV2’s Love Island. Caroline was at the helm of the reality show for five series, from 2015 to 2019.
Before Love Island, Caroline co-hosted ITV‘s The X Factor and The Xtra Factor. She also presented on I’m A Celebrity’s spin-off, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! NOW!.
Fans may remember Caroline for her work on Comic Relief Does Fame Academy, Big Brother’s Big Mouth and Something for the Weekend. Caroline won the BBC‘s Strictly Come Dancing in 2014.
How many episodes is Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth?
Disney+ has confirmed Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth will be two episodes long, with the show being billed as a mini ‘docu-series’. It is not yet known how long each episode will be.
When does it start?
Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth will air this autumn on Disney+. An exact date for when the mini-series drops is yet to be confirmed. We will update you when we know.
