Sarah whacked Theo over the head with a pole, and then he fell over the scaffolding and onto the floor below. Gary then helped her cover it up. With viewers now having answers to the show’s recent whodunnit, there are four huge storylines they can now look forward to. Megan’s trial is coming up (Credit: ITV) Upcoming Coronation Street storylines 1. Megan’s trial On-screen right now, Will is preparing for Megan’s trial. He’s debating whether to face her in court or whether to pre-record his statement. The Driscolls are torn over what’s best for him, having no idea that Will’s currently secretly communicating with Megan through his games console. However, before the outcome is revealed, Megan’s mum will rock up on the scene to cause chaos. But, will she side with her daughter or the Driscolls? Explosive exit for Cassie Cassie Plummer’s exit scenes are set to air this summer, with her exit being described as ‘explosive.’ Speaking to Digital Spy about what Cassie’s exit storyline will look like, Corrie producer Kate Brooks teased: “Tyrone’s dad makes an appearance in the show. Needless to say, he comes with quite a bit of drama. It’s going to cause quite a lot of friction within that family, obviously, with Cassie’s history. “As you know, Cassie’s leaving us, and so it will contribute to her exit, which is going to be massive and quite explosive. It’ll be full of all the twists and turns that you can come to expect from an exit story.” Cassie’s currently coupled up with Steve McDonald, but with her exit on the way, could disaster be on the cards for their relationship? Betsy’s currently planning her future (Credit: ITV) Upcoming Coronation Street storylines 3. Betsy’s ‘life-changing’ incident Betsy Swain is looking forward to an exciting future over in London. She’s celebrating getting a place at a London fashion college. However, it appears that she might have to put her plans on hold. She’s due to suffer an incident that will have huge repercussions. It has been reported that both Dylan and Betsy are set for a ‘coming of age’ storyline, with the Mirror reporting that Betsy’s also set for a ‘life-changing incident.’ What this incident is remains a secret, but it’s set to be a lot for the character to come to terms with. Leanne’s smitten (Credit: ITV) 4. Leanne and Idris’s romance Leanne’s been absolutely smitten ever since newcomer Idris turned up onto the cobbles. We haven’t seen much of him yet, but we know enough about him to be concerned for Leanne. We’ve seen him already demand money off a worried lad, and he’s clearly involved in some dodgy business. His cousin Alya has even warned Leanne not to get involved too deeply, but she seems to have brushed off these warnings without a second thought. We’re excited to see more of the character and how his relationship with Leanne develops over time. Is Leanne in danger? Or, will she finally be lucky in love?
