Elsewhere, Bob’s hopes of getting justice for Dawn’s death are raised when he learns of the forged report. But when he finds out that Edna’s evidence isn’t enough for a prosecution he’s devastated. He turns on Edna and Rosemary gets involved, telling everyone about Edna’s crush on Tom.

When Tom tries to soothe his former friend and tell her he cares about her, Edna slaps him across the face!

Diane and Val get a surprise

Meanwhile, at the police station, Diane and Val turn on the charm and they’re relieved to get away with a warning, but Diane’s behaviour annoys Jack.

As the sisters celebrate in the pub later, an unexpected familiar face arrives to wipe the smiles off their faces.

Tom’s telling lies

Later, a potential buyer arrives to talk to the Kings about taking on the housing development. But he warns them he will only buy on condition there’s no more threats of legal action.

Desperate not to lose the sale, Tom lies that everything has been agreed out of court, much to Matthew’s concern.

Bob’s still furious that the Kings won’t be punished for the house collapse. Drunk and emotional, he storms round to see the Kings with Jamie and Jean, itching for a confrontation. But the wind is taken out of his sails when Tom offers them compensation as long as they don’t pursue a civil case against the Kings.

When Len finds Edna in the church she’s distraught. She tells him she’s worried everyone thinks she originally covered up the report and only revealed it because Tom chose Rosemary.
