Horses for courses
Sadie and Matthew go to see the Sinclairs to discuss a settlement, certain they won’t be ready to go down without a fight. But Rosemary is very cool, and even invites them to share a special French meal, prepared by their chef.
After the meal, Rosemary hands over the documents. But while Sadie smugly reads the details, Rosemary’s got something to say.
She announces that though the business was worth a million on Friday, it’s now worth nothing. Then she adds that the delicious French meal they just enjoyed was made from Sadie’s beloved horse, Cossack.
Horrified, Sadie leaves. While Matthew tells her he’s going to take more of a role in their business affairs from now on.
Sticking around
And elsewhere, Jimmy warns Tom that it doesn’t look like Sadie’s going to be leaving the village any time soon.
Building bridges
Rodney’s fretting about Paul, who’s still down over his breakup with Ivan. He invites Paul to share his new wine, and over drinks father and son have a heart to heart.
Rodney apologises for lavishing attention on Nicola and not making an effort to properly understand Paul’s sexuality. And Rodney tells Paul he’s proud of him. Aww.

Later, Matthew is desperate to leave the village but Sadie says she won’t go until they sell Victoria Cottage.
Matthew thinks Tom might buy it, but he doesn’t want to know.
Tom catches up with an old rival Don Clough who wants to sell his haulage wing. Tom pretends he isn’t interested but talks it through with Jimmy. But before he can act, he gets called away to visit a sick friend.
Meanwhile, Sadie’s got wind of the sale and thinks this could be the perfect way to get revenge on Tom and make some money too.

Moving on?
Paul decides to move back to Mill Cottage but as he’s unpacking he comes across a CD of Ivan’s. Kelly suggests he returns it, and when he does it’s clear both men are sad about the end of their relationship.
Paul wonders what could have happened without Nicola interfering.
Jamie’s on a money-making mission
Viv’s annoyed when she finds out Jamie’s been keeping some of the cafe’s profits for himself by serving Sunday dinners.
Jamie asks Rodney for a job and Rodney sets him a challenge. He gives him a worthless vase and says if he can sell it for £500 he’ll give him half the profits. Jamie’s confident he can get £1000!
