Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Sadie and Matthew's feelings ignite

Classic Emmerdale: Sadie has suspicions

Sadie can’t hide her annoyance when she bumps into Kelly, all dolled up for another secret rendezvous with Jimmy. After overhearing a flirty comment and a suspicious phone call, Sadie confides in Matthew that something is going on between Jimmy and Kelly.

Matthew suspects jealousy on Sadie’s part, but she assures him her reaction is because Jimmy should still be mourning Max. However, Matthew’s feelings for Sadie are strong, and she has to remind him of their pact not to act on their emotions.

The tension between them is electric and undeniable.

Matthew and Sadie struggle with their secret

Matthew’s resolve soon weakens as he confesses to Sadie that they can’t keep ignoring their feelings for each other. Sadie visits him later, admitting she feels the same but insists they can’t act on it because of their complicated pasts and the business.

Jimmy’s lavish gift

Meanwhile, after another passionate night, Jimmy gifts Kelly an expensive handbag. Donna notices the bag and digs for details about Kelly’s mysterious lover. She is shocked when Kelly reveals it’s Jimmy.

Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Cain’s employment woes

Lisa feels disappointed to learn that Cain is out of a job again. She takes matters into her own hands by visiting Dawn, hoping she will rehire Cain.

Dawn refuses, citing trust issues, but offers Lisa a job at the garage instead. Lisa cleverly negotiates that Cain will assist her once he’s back, securing a future for him.

Classic Emmerdale: Val’s kind gesture

Val steps in to help Sandra after Eric turns her away from the factory for lack of experience. Feeling sympathetic, Val offers Sandra a job regardless. This small act of kindness could start something better for Sandra.

Laurel and Ashley’s heartbreak

An incredulous Laurel ends their relationship, leaving Ashley stunned and Ethan with mixed feelings of satisfaction and regret.
