But the blackmail is only a small part of the story as spoilers have confirmed Charity will be assaulted and Todd will be involved. Emmerdale has even changed their ITVX homepage for the soap to show a distressed Charity. Fans are seriously not happy with the direction the soap is taking this storyline, so just how bad is it going to get? Kim backed out of the deal with Charity in Emmerdale (Credit: ITV) Emmerdale tonight saw Charity lose her last hope Charity was all set to sign over her share of the Woolpack to Kim Tate tonight (Tuesday June 2). She thought this was finally the day she would get rid of Todd. However, Graham gave Kim a talking to about getting involved with the Dingles and all the hassles the pub would cause her. Then she asked for a loan instead with the pub as collateral. But Kim refused unless Charity told her the trouble she was in and why she needed the money so quickly. Charity wouldn’t open up and lost her temper, throwing Kim out of the pub. Chas overheard the conversation and wanted answers. Defeated Charity finally admitted everything and Chas wanted to help. But Todd isn’t impressed. She demands the rest of the cash by tomorrow or else she will spill Charity’s secret. And worse, she will do it in public at Sarah’s 21st birthday party. Charity is left with nowhere to turn and things are set to get even worse… The truce between Todd and Charity certainly doesn’t last long (Credit: ITV) Charity assaulted next week in Emmerdale Speaking on This Morning last month Emma Atkins, who plays Charity, confirmed the storyline had more to come saying, “There’s a trajectory that it’s going to keep going for some time.” She added: “It’s going to go quite dark, I think.” And by the looks of the latest spoilers, Emma wasn’t lying about that. Next week, drunk Charity really does feel she has no way out. She corners Todd in the street and, fuelled by booze, calls her bluff and defies her to reveal the secret. Surprisingly, Todd backs down. She’s unable to ruin Sarah’s life so publicly. So she does have something of a conscience. As the women seem to be forming a truce, Todd admits she likes the chaos of Charity’s life. It gives her a thrill. But the peace doesn’t last long when Charity is subjected to a horrifying assault. How will she recover from this? And how far does Todd go this time? Another was angry: “OMG [BLEEP] LEAVE CHARITY ALONE I DON’T PLAY ABOUT HER OMFG.” “What on earth are they thinking putting Charity through this again after what happened with Bails!” agreed a third.
