Ryan Hawley has confirmed that Robert’s heading back to the Dales permanently! And that means there’s time for a lot of drama for the character… 1. Robron reunion Our immediate wish is for Robert and Aaron to get back together and pick up where they left off six years ago. A lot of time has gone by since Robert first went to prison, but we’re adamant that Aaron still has feelings for him. We always believed that they were endgame, and we still do. No matter how much Aaron tries to kid himself into thinking that John is now ‘the one.’ Come on Aaron, dating Robert’s brother was never going to work out. Stop kidding yourself and just return back into Robert’s arms instead, please! article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Will he be the one to bring down John? (Credit: ITV) 2. Robert exposes John Another thing we’re hoping to see happen is that Robert proves to Aaron why John is ‘the biggest mistake of his life.’ Viewers at home all know the dark secrets that John has in his closet, but Aaron doesn’t. And neither does the rest of the village. But, Robert could just be the key to exposing John’s crimes and bringing him down good and proper. It’s what John deserves. 3. Seb comeback When Ross Barton returned last year, he revealed that Rebecca White has sadly died. Her and Robert’s son was now living with an aunt. But, we’d love to see Robert bring Seb back home to live with him now that he’s no longer in prison. There must be a reason that Ross mentioned Seb upon his arrival. And there must be a reason why Rebecca White was killed. But, is it so that Robert and Seb can be a family again? Will he bring up his past? (Credit: ITV) 4. Discussions of Liv and Rebecca Two key people who used to be in Robert’s life before his prison stint were Rebecca White (the mother of his child), and Liv Flaherty (his sister-in-law). Sadly, both of these people are now dead. We really need to see Robert discuss them and reflect on their deaths. We’re guessing that he must be aware of them seeing as he knew about Aaron’s wedding… But, will they be mentioned again? 5. Andy return We’ve had one Sugden make a comeback so we may as well have one more, right? Robert’s return has us excited, ready to put the Sugdens back on the map again. They’ve been a bit short on numbers in recent years, so now we’re hoping that the family expands a bit. First Robert, and then an Andy Sugden return? We can only hope.
