As Dawn warns Joe that Billy could murder him, the end could be in sight for Joe Tate in Emmerdale
Was this a major hint Joe will die?
Dawn Fletcher warned lover Joe Tate they can’t come clean about their affair in Emmerdale tonight because Billy would kill him. Has she just foreshadowed Joe’s death?
Dawn seems to know exactly what Billy is capable of, but Joe, with all his money and confidence might just underestimate his love rival. And it could lead to his ultimate demise.

What happened in Emmerdale tonight – Billy made accusations
Devastated Billy is still trying to make sense of the end of his marriage to Dawn. And meddling Mack wasn’t much help when he used his own hatred for Ross to stoke Billy’s fire. He insisted Dawn must be having an affair – and it had to be with Ross.
That of course immediately had Billy seeing red. He tried to check Dawn’s phone and the fact she’d changed the passcode was all the confirmation Billy needed.
He confronted Ross about the affair and things got aggressive – just as Clemmie walked in. She heard Billy accuse Ross and Dawn of sleeping together and was distraught. And when Ross proved he was not texting Dawn by showing Billy his messages were only to Steph, Billy realised what a monumental mistake he had made.
Although we think Mack should really take the blame, Billy decided he had best move out of Home Farm straight away to make it easier for everyone.
But as he left and apologised to Dawn, she felt awful. Joe tried to comfort her and insisted once it was all out in the open things would be easier, but Dawn insisted: “We can’t tell the kids, we can’t tell anyone. This has to stay a secret because he will murder you.”
Is she right? Will Billy end Joe’s life when he finds out his wife is sleeping with him?

Does Joe Tate die in Emmerdale?
Although we don’t know any details about the future for Joe and Dawn, a line such as Dawn said is almost always a hint at the future. So there’s every chance Billy could murder Joe when he finds out the truth – and he will find out the truth.
However, Billy isn’t the only one gunning for Joe. Surely it wasn’t just us who noticed Caleb did not walk away from that meeting tonight happy as Larry to have been bought off with some land. No matter how much Kim told him it was his birthright, it clearly wasn’t all he thought he was worth.
We were honestly quite surprised he even accepted it and walked away. So something tells us this isn’t the end of it. Is Caleb plotting a murderous revenge?
It’s also not the first time Joe’s death has seemingly been hinted at. Back in January he told Noah: “I’m not going anywhere. I promise.” This is usually a surefire sign he is going somewhere – somewhere very permanent!
Does all this mean we’re heading towards a Joe Tate whodunnit?

Joe Tate to ‘get his comeuppance’ in Emmerdale
When Kidney Research UK raised concerns about the plot involving Joe stealing Caleb’s kidney, Emmerdale responded by promising Joe would get his comeuppance.
At the time, an Emmerdale spokesperson told Emmerdale Insider: “Emmerdale covers a wide ranging scope of subjects in its storytelling. From births to deaths and everything in between, the nightly stories entertain, inform and raise awareness.
“We regularly work with organisations, help groups and charities for the portrayal of many of these subjects. But sometimes our characters go rogue acting out of desperation or whilst under pressure.
“Joe Tate’s desperate actions are not being held up as an example and as with any soap villain he will ultimately get his comeuppance.”
Could that comeuppance be his death? It’s looking increasingly more likely…
