Emmerdale fans ‘feel sick’ as they slam ‘forced’ Manpreet and Ross storyline
Everyone was hoping Steph and Ross would last
In Emmerdale Ross Barton and Manpreet Sharma took part in a very flirty game of pool. And it’s safe to say it has not gone down well with the viewers.
When Ross returned to the show last year, it was immediately a smart decision. And over the last few months, viewers have seen the side of Ross they love. He’s tried to be there for Steph Miligan through her her horrific ordeal, but she struggled to accept his love.
Ross has had his heart broken by Steph’s rejection, and has been looking for a way to cope. And while fans are all in support of him and Steph as a couple, it seems the latest turn has made many angry.

Ross hits it off with Manpreet following Steph rejection
Steph lashed out at Ross during her breakdown, scratching him in the face to get him to leave her alone. But he refused. He made it clear to Steph that he wasn’t going anywhere.
In the days that followed, Steph began to see a therapist, and apologised to Ross, who once again reinforced that he wanted to be with her. But Steph emotionally told him that she needs time alone to come to terms with everything. Ross confessed he was in love with her, but Steph broke up with him.
Heartbroken and alone, Ross decided to drown his sorrows by drinking. Desperate for anybody to play a game of pool with him, he accepted Manpreet’s offer. And things turned flirty between them very, very quickly.
Spoilers were released last week that revealed Manpreet and Ross would spend the night together. At the time fans already weren’t pleased about it, but watching it play out on their screens made a lot of them very annoyed.

Fans slam storyline
While it’s not completely out of the ordinary for Ross to hit self destruct whenever something goes wrong, everyone was hoping Emmerdale would keep him and Steph together.
Taking to X after watching the very flirty exchange between Ross and Manpreet, one Emmerdale fan admitted they felt “sick”.
They wrote: “Ew, I can’t watch this Ross and Manpreet flirting. I feel sick.”
Another penned: “There is absolutely no chemistry between Manpreet and Ross. It is way too forced.”
“No, please do not do Ross and Manpreet. Do not even consider it, Emmerdale” a third angry fan commented.
Whether or not Ross and Steph reunite, or if she finds out about his night of passion with the doctor remains to be seen. But it’s clear that nobody wants Ross and Manpreet to be a thing.
