Chas has no alibi in Classic Emmerdale

Diane is forced into a corner and lies to the police about the night of Tom’s murder to protect Chas. Meanwhile, Chas admits that to her family that her heavy drinking on the wedding day has left her with no memory of two whole hours – the time when Tom was killed.

As it becomes apparent that Chas doesn’t have an alibi for the murder, the Dingles try to talk her into leaving the village and she heads off.

Meanwhile, Carl is furious with Rosemary for her attempts to frame Chas. He sets off to track Chas down.

Rodney’s on the up

Elsewhere, Rodney shows off his skills as a salesman when he lands a buyer for the Jag and makes £20,000. Scott and Debbie are delighted and expecting a hefty share of the profits. So they are confused – and annoyed – when he hands over a fiver. He tells them they already owe him £10,000.

Furious at being outwitted, Scott lunges at Rodney and he has to be held back by Len!

Classic Emmerdale: Jasmine sniffs out a story

Aspiring journalist Jasmine is disappointed when McNally says he can’t print her article, but she’s pleased when he offers her work experience instead. He asks her to find out everything she can about the murder and feed it back to him.

The police hunt for the murder weapon

Later, the police are on the hunt for the murder weapon so they begin to comb Home Farm but they don’t find anything.

Matthew suggests they check Tom’s cabinets and they find several possessions missing. Pearl’s worried when Matthew implicates Len.

Eli makes a big mistake!

Elsewhere, Chas frets that if Eli sells the loot from Home Farm he’ll attract unwanted attention. But he knows better so he heads off to speak to Rodney about buying the goods. But Rodney’s not interested – and later he seeks out Rosemary in the Woolpack. He spills the beans about Eli having a stash of the Kings’ possessions. What will Rosemary do next?
