Fans of Emmerdale were left fuming as Steph Miligan put an end to one of the soap’s most popular relationships by dumping Ross. Steph has been struggling ever since the revelation that Anthony abused her mum as a teenager… and was actually her biological father.
This came to a head last week as Steph attempted to wipe out all traces of Anthony from her face by arranging plastic surgery. During this agonised meltdown, she’d also lashed out at Ross, pushing him away in her pain. Plastic surgery averted, Steph and her family realised that she needs help, and concerned Ross was on hand to offer his support.
But, realising that she had to prioritise her own mental health, Steph instead called time on their relationship – leaving him heartbroken.
Steph dumped Ross in Emmerdale last night
This, Steph did so after Ross opened up to her, telling her all about his acid attack and how meeting Rebecca had allowed him to be happy again. Wanting to be there for Steph in her time of need, he confessed that he loved her.
The L-word was too much for Steph, who baulked at his admissions of love – and the spa holiday he’d booked. Telling him that he deserved better, she called things off, leaving Ross a broken man.
Emmerdale fans dismayed as Steph dumps Ross
Writing on social media as last night’s episode aired, fans shared their thoughts on the end of Steph and Ross’s relationship. And many were sad to see their favourite young couple have run their course.
“Emmerdale have a good couple and they split them up. Its a pain man. I love Ross and Steph together,” bemoaned one fan.
“How many times are Steph and Ross going to split up and get back together,” said another.
“I felt sorry for Ross after Steph finished with him,” a third sympathised.
“the look on ross’ face when steph broke up with him,” said a fourth.
“Ross is the best thing about this programme , deserves better than bloody Steph!” another fan exclaimed.
