Clemmie ‘ruled out’ of Joe Tate whodunnit suspect list by keen Emmerdale fans
Clemmie finally told Billy the truth
Emmerdale are gearing up for the huge Joe Tate whodunnit storyline which begins this week. But it looks like fans are already ruling people out of the suspect list.
Ever since he arrived, Joe Tate has been collecting enemies. And it all comes down to this week’s attack. Someone takes their revenge on Joe, and it still remains unclear if he lives to tell the tale.
But who is the one to strike? Emmerdale released an ominous image of the suspects – although in soap style it could always be someone completely different. However, Clemmie Reed was on the suspect list. And while she has a lot of motive, it seems she has already been ‘ruled out’.

Why would Clemmie attack Joe?
Clemmie spotted Joe and Dawn kissing, and realised that Billy was right about Dawn having an affair. Since then, she has been refusing to go to school, with Dawn thinking it’s because of the break-up.
However, what Dawn doesn’t know is that Clemmie confronted Joe over the kiss. And while he tried to talk her round, she lashed out and bit him.
The next day, Joe bought Clemmie her own karaoke machine. But when he found her destroying it, he gave her some harsh words. Joe told Clemmie that once he and Dawn were properly together, she would be sent back to care because he is Dawn’s family. He also threatened to tell social services that she bit him to get it on her record.
Clemmie was horrified and scared that she was going to be taken away again. So much so that she actually told Billy the truth about what happened. And while Billy promised he wouldn’t let it happen, Clemmie still remained scared of Joe.

Clemmie ‘ruled out’ of Emmerdale Joe Tate whodunnit
While all of the evidence seems to point to Clemmie attacking Joe this week, fans seem to think she may not actually be responsible.
When it was first announced that Joe was going to be the centre of this storyline, viewers immediately thought it was Clemmie. And now as the storyline progresses, they feel it would be too obvious to be the youngster.
One fan penned on X: “Going to need Clemmie to push Joe out the window. But I think given tonight’s episode that would be too obvious.”
Another commented: “With the heavy focus on Joe vs Clemmie, I don’t think she will be the one to attack him. It’s never that obvious.”
Who strikes against Joe remains to be seen, but there are quite a lot of people who would happily take their shot at revenge…
