The poor policing aside, we’re all wondering why exactly Walsh has got it in for Moira. What is her problem? Well, some fans have now come up with a rather convincing theory that explains everything… DS Walsh is determined to get Moira sent down (Credit: ITV) DS Walsh wants Moira to be guilty in Emmerdale No matter what evidence is put in front of her to the contrary, DS Walsh is convinced Moira is guilty. There is compelling evidence – Anya’s body was wrapped up in a blanket with Moira’s DNA on, Celia and Anya were both found buried on her land, and Moira was in business with Celia. Not to mention the ID documents that Robert planted at Moira’s house. But there are also a number of holes in Walsh’s case – Anya died of an untreated infection, Moira’s fingerprints wouldn’t be on the documents and she wouldn’t be stupid enough to bury the bodies on her own land. Until last night. When Walsh firmly pointed the finger at Moira for being Bear’s accomplice in killing Ray and covering it up. She thinks Moira helped him move the body. Bear was very clear that Moira was not involved and had never been at the farm at all. He mentioned he’d told Cain that too and Walsh immediately wrote Bear’s defence off as having been pressured by Cain. Never mind the evidence punching her in the face (much like we’d like to – not advocating violence, of course), Walsh clearly has some sort of unspoken vendetta against Moira and wants her to go down. Moira has continued to insist her innocence but Walsh doesn’t believe it (Credit: ITV) Fans want to know what’s going on with Walsh and Moira It hasn’t escaped viewers’ notice that Walsh is laser focused on getting Moira sent down. And they are getting very suspicious this isn’t proper police work at play here… “Anyone else have the feeling that THAT copper is only interested in pinning everything on Moira? She isn’t interested in anyone else. WHY??” questioned one on social media. Others asked the same: “Why is [bleep] detective completely going after Moira??” and, “Walsh is so obnoxiously dead-set on pinning everything on Moira. So annoying to watch.” Joe has got it in for Moira (Credit: ITV) Is DS Walsh working for Joe Tate in Emmerdale? Delving deeper into the subject, some fans believe they’ve worked it out: Walsh is a dirty copper being paid by none-other than Joe Tate. Joe is desperate to get his hands on Moira’s land and doesn’t care how he gets it. He’s already blackmailed Robert to plant the ID documents, so what else is he capable of? “Why is this detective so fixated on Moira?” queried one viewer before adding: “I think she’s working for Joe, what else could it be?” Another had the same thought: “She is dead set on Moira, could Joe be paying her, dirty copper?” “They have DS Walsh acting like some 1950’s bent cop that’s trying to fit up someone for her crooked boss,” raged a third. “Whoever thought this up needs charged with crimes against good TV.” Is Walsh crooked?
