Emmerdale's Gina and Jean split pic

Emmerdale fans are convinced that Joe Tate’s associate Gina is actually former villager Jean Tate, but are they right?

Gina tricked Caleb last night (Wednesday, March 26), by toasting a business deal within after spiking his drink.

But, have we actually met Gina before? Fans are sure of it!

Gina and Joe’s plan in Emmerdale

With Joe Tate desperate to use Caleb as an organ donor without him knowing, he’s enlisted the help of several accomplices to execute the job.

We’ve known Dr Crowley for several weeks now, but now viewers have just been introduced to another one of Joe’s contacts – Gina.

Faking a business deal with Caleb at the Depot, Gina slipped something into his drink. Unfortunately though, Caleb spilled the drink all over himself when toasting their deal.

Gina then reported to Joe that her plan didn’t work but she’d try again. Joe knew that time was running out though and told her that he’d find someone else to carry out the job and actually pull it off.

Joe then met up with a dodgy chap (the guy who had attacked Pete Barton) and had handed him a knife. He’d requested him to stab Caleb so that the transplant could be performed immediately.

Fans convinced Gina is actually Jean Tate

After noticing the similarities between Gina’s name with a former village character as well as the connection to the Tates, fans are now adamant that Gina is actually Jean Tate all grown up.

Jean was born in January 2003, meaning that she’d be 22 years old now. Gina looked slightly older than this, but soaps have been known to retcon characters’ ages slightly over the years.

And fans are certain that Gina must be Jean…

One fan shared: “If this Gina is actually Jean Tate, can we have an explanation as to where Zoe Tate is?”

Another fan determined: “Gina HAS to be Jean, right?”

A third person added: “I wonder, is Gina really Jean Tate?”

But, could Jean Tate really be back in the village after all these years?
