Here’s what is happening in Emmerdale spoilers for Wednesday April 9.

1. Tracy admits to her theft

With no money coming in from Nate, Tracy has been stealing money from the shop behind Pollard’s back for a long time now. Guilt is finally starting to catch up with her, and she ends up spilling all to Vanessa.

Luckily for Tracy, Vanessa feels terrible for not realising her sister was struggling financially. To make up for it, she gives her some cash to replace the money that she’s stolen.

Though she does put the money back, rather than admit all to Pollard, she tells him he must have misplaced it.

2. John under pressure after Liam catches him out in Emmerdale spoilers

On Tuesday April 8, John was distracted at work after confessing to Aaron he hasn’t been sleeping. It has left him exhausted and definitely not on his A game.

When Kerry came into the surgery wanting help, John dismissed her symptoms as a bad hangover. Even though Kerry insisted she’d had plenty of hangovers before and this one felt different, John was sure she just needed rest.

Fortunately for Kerry Liam arrived in the nick of time and realised John had not done a blood sugar test. That revealed that Kerry had diabetic ketoacidosis and needed urgent treatment at the hospital.

It was clear Liam was very unhappy with John not taking the usual care over their patient. He told him they’d talk about it later and when they do discuss it Liam tells John he is doing a review of all of his work.

As the walls close in, John admits to Victoria it’s not the first time he’s made mistakes as a medic. As he opens up about other things that have happened, Vic encourages him to forgive himself. She shares things that have gone wrong for her professionally too, but will it be enough to comfort John?

3. Jacob catches Sarah and Kammy

Elsewhere in the village, much to his dismay, Jacob catches Sarah and Kammy enjoying an afternoon together.

When Jacob turns up at Sarah’s house to speak with her, he’s mortified to discover she’s been spending an intimate afternoon with her new man.

4. Vanessa lashes out in Emmerdale spoilers

Also an upset Vanessa finds herself getting drunk.

As grief for her late partner, Suzy, takes hold, Vanessa lashes out at best friend, Rhona, over Mary and Suzy’s affair.

Emmerdale usually airs weeknights on ITV at 7.30pm, with an early release on ITVX at 7am.
