Emmerdale fans ‘convinced’ Ned Porteous will be the next James Bond following Joe whodunnit
He would suit the role
Emmerdale fans are convinced Ned Porteous will be taking on a huge Hollywood role as fears for soap exit grow.
Coming up on Emmerdale, Joe Tate will face the wrath of one of his enemies in a new whodunnit storyline. And while there has been no confirmation that this will mark the end of his time in Emmerdale, fans think it will.
But perhaps, the talented Ned Porteous already has something else lined up. And safe to say, fans think it could be huge.

Ned Porteous to take on huge Hollywood role?
Just a few days ago, Ned posted a series of updated headshots onto his social media, which left fans adamant this means he is leaving. But while many commented their fears, others pointed out how much he would suit being the next James Bond.
Writing in the comments, one fan wrote: “Next James Bond surely!”
Another penned: “Your definitely leaving to be James Bond.”
“Definitely will be seeing you as Bond!!” a third added.
A fourth commented: “Your such an interesting actor. I do hope some good scripts / films come along. I hope you have a good agent. You have big potential.”
Ned previously left Emmerdale six years ago to try new things, and even spent some time in America. But he has since admitted that the timing was bad due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, it’s clear that Ned does have the 007 vibe. And with a lot of huge names being thrown into the mix, the Emmerdale star makes a strong candidate.
The creators of the Bond movies have also previously said that they’re looking for a younger face to take on the role this time – so Ned’s likelihood of being the next movie icon is entirely possible!

Is a Ned Porteous Emmerdale exit confirmed?
However, in order for Ned to play the iconic character, he will actually have to leave the Dales. And right now, no official confirmation has been made.
There are a lot of people wanting revenge on him after he spent months scheming to steal Caleb’s kidney. And next week, one of his enemies will strike.
But Emmerdale are remaining tight-lipped as to whether or not Ned is leaving the show. Although, the signs are all there…
Only time will tell if we will be saying goodbye to him. But if we have to, then we agree that he would make a wonderful James Bond!
