Caleb’s fate was revealed
The episode began with Dr Crowley trying to keep Caleb alive. But the odds looked bleak at one stage.
However, after a few minutes, he told Joe to go and get ready for his part of the surgery and that he would keep working on Caleb.
Right before Joe went under, he asked about his uncle. But Crowley didn’t give him a clear answer on whether or not Caleb was okay.
Later, Ruby received a phone call, informing her about Caleb’s stabbing and headed straight to the hospital. Caleb woke up with her by his side and she filled him in on what happened.
The story is: Caleb was stabbed, Joe found him and brought him to a private hospital where Dr Crowley saved his life. But during the surgery, it was found that Caleb’s kidney was too damaged and had to be removed. Then Dr Crowley transferred him to a normal hospital (All makes complete sense).

Emmerdale recap: Joe’s plan hit another bump
While at the hospital, Dr Crowley bumped into Ruby, who wanted him to properly meet Caleb. And while he was in the room, the leading investigator for his case arrived to ask some questions.
Not that long after, she came back, informing them that there had been a development in the case already.
Crowley immediately headed to see Joe, informing him that his kidney seems to be fine. And that the man who stabbed Caleb had been arrested.
This immediately causes panic, as Joe admits that was never part of his plan. And while Crowley is worried about prison, Joe knows that if Caleb finds out the truth – their fate would be worse than prison. Joe should probably watch his back for a while…
Steph confides in Ross
While Ross and Charity are annoyed that their plan to track Joe failed, Steph arrives and tries to buy Ross a drink. At the start he is against the idea, but Charity convinces him to give her another chance. Steph asks him if she can definitely trust him. And the pair head to Butlers Farm.
When there, she tells him the truth about Anthony sexually abusing Ruby and how he is her biological father. Ross immediately is there for Steph. But when he asks if that is why Anthony left the village, Steph doesn’t mention the murder.
Ross tried to hug Steph, but she pulled away because she didn’t want him to pretend. However, Ross took the opportunity to tell her all about his own family drama (We all remember the iconic Emma Barton era, right?).
He emphasises that he will always be there for her, and admitted that he really likes her, which she reciprocated. However, when he tried to kiss her again, she pulled away and asked for some time. And he said he would be there for whenever she wanted him, no matter how long.
Their conversation was interrupted by Ruby calling Steph about Caleb’s stabbing. And when she arrived at the hospital, she called him dad. Which made everyone happy.

Emmerdale recap: Marlon and Rhona catch April with a boy
Marlon encouraged April to go hang out at Arthur’s. But when she was there she clearly didn’t feel like she fitted in with his friends anymore. When the topic of April’s baby daddy comes up, she heads to the kitchen.
One of the boys looked a bit shifty at the conversation, and later followed April to the kitchen. He offered her a drink, however she refused. They began to speak and she confided in him that she doesn’t feel like that life is her anymore, before their conversation turned flirty.
Meanwhile Marlon and Rhona sat at the Woolpack, worrying. And so, they decided to go check on her. When they arrived, April was nowhere to be seen.
But right at that moment, she and the boy from earlier come down the stairs together, fixing their clothes. When on the street a huge argument occurs between April and her parents. But Marlon is scared to yell at her because he doesn’t want her to run away again. However, Rhona reminds him it’s time that he acts like a dad again.
