What happened in Emmerdale Friday, April 4: Brenda and Cathy left the village and Chas postponed her wedding to Liam
Brenda was on a goodbye tour!
In our Emmerdale recap for Friday, April 4, it was time for Brenda and Cathy to head on their three month cruise, but it almost didn’t happen (again!).
And after he advocated for Ella, Chas decided to withdraw her statement. But informed him that this meant their wedding was on hold for a while.
Elsewhere Sarah and Kammy were fired from the garage, but she created a revenge plan.
Read on for a full Emmerdale recap for Friday, April 4.

Eric suffered a fall
Kerry found Eric lying in his kitchen in pain, not able to get up. But he headed straight back to work, much to her dismay. When Brenda arrived in the shop boasting about her cruise, Kerry told her what had happened after Eric failed to mention it. Brenda immediately worried about leaving him.
The pair had a heart-to-heart, bonding properly for the first time in a while. Brenda informed him she won’t go on the cruise if he needs her. He opened up about how his Parkinson’s has been giving him trouble. He encouraged her to go on the cruise because he knew how much she wanted to win it. But he remained convinced she will be back – but with Lesley Dunlop leaving the show, it seems unlikely.

Brenda and Cathy left the village
Brenda said goodbye to everyone she needed to. She made a stop at Heath’s gravestone, apologising for not being able to see him for a while – but she was glad he had Jennie’s grave nearby. Bob arrived at that point and emotionally told Brenda he would put new flowers on Jennie’s grave every week as well as Heath’s.
Then it was time for them to leave. Brenda said goodbye to Kerry and Nicola. Eric then arrived and said his goodbyes. She and Cathy got into the taxi.

Liam spoke up for Ella – so Chas postponed their wedding
Mandy and Chas were fuming over the Ella situation when Liam arrived to inform them she is sticking to her innocence. He asked them to withdraw their statements. His reasoning was that prison didn’t help her before, and that she would be better off getting professional help.
Mandy immediately refused, insisting they can “throw away the key”. But Chas and Liam spoke more and she agreed to do it for him. But because it’s not over, they can’t go through with their wedding just yet. Both of them spoke about how their wedding is going to be the “perfect” day – but when does that ever happen in SoapLand?

Emmerdale recap: Sarah and Kammy got fired
Sarah was working on a fancy sports car at the garage, but the owner wasn’t impressed with how young she was. When Cain left her to it, she and Kammy got to work, joking about going for a joyride.
When the man came back, he noticed a scratch that was on it. But Sarah and Kammy were adamant they didn’t cause it, and Sarah tried to talk back to the man. Cain quickly intervened and told them to fix it while he takes the guy away.
However, when they got back, Cain tried to smooth over the situation by revealing he will deal with his car’s in the future. But the man refused as he is cancelling their deal. Cain was left fuming and sacked both Sarah and Kammy.
But that only made Sarah more annoyed, and so they snuck back into the garage after closing. When he questioned why, Sarah told Kammy they were taking their cash, and that she had something planned.

Vinny decided to move into Home Farm
Gabby and Vinny headed out for a spa day, with Kim babysitting Thomas. After realising there was a clay pigeon shoot happening, Gabby gave Kim one rule; don’t let him outside. But as soon as she left, Kim pulled out a new cap and prepped to take him out.
When they returned Gabby quickly realised Kim took him to the shoot. While Kim didn’t see an issue, believing Thomas should learn as a youngster since he is a Tate, Gabby was fuming. She quickly decided she needs alternative childcare. And Vinny proposed the idea of him moving in – which she agreed to.

Jacob made Belle an offer in Emmerdale recap
When Jacob heads to see Belle, she tells him that neither the rent or her wages have been paid since Leyla died. He is immediately apologetic, vowing to fix it.
But then he asks Belle if she would buy the business – leaving her looking absolutely stunned. Will she agree?
