John still on a high

Following yesterday’s dramatic reveal that John actually did kill Nate, and seems to enjoy bringing people close to death just to save them again, he was still on a high.

As he and Aaron were getting close, Cain walked in with Frankie, asking Aaron to help him with a call-out. John says yes for him, knowing that he is responsible for Frankie not having her dad.

Later at the pub, John asked Chas how Tracy was doing, and even tried to defend Nate. But if he keeps getting involved, how long before someone realises he had something to do with it?

Aaron tried to bond with Steph

Quickly catching on that Steph is not okay, Aaron heads to her house to speak to her. He spots her trying to hide plastic surgery google options and confronts her about it.

She tries to get him to leave, but he remained adamant that they are family and that she looks nothing like Anthony.

To connect with her, he opens up about losing Jackson, and then his ordeal with Gordon. But just when they began to bond he tries to put his hand on her shoulder. Steph freaks out and runs away.

As Aaron looked for her, he bumped into Caleb and Ruby. He told them everything that happened and they all panic about where she has gone.

Is Anthony alive?

In the pub, Jai goads Caleb and Ruby, trying to get information out of them about Anthony. But Caleb knocks him back when he reminds him who exactly is the boss.

As she walked down the road to the woods, Steph was replaying conversations about Anthony in her head. Clearly out of it, she fell. But a car pulled up, and it was Joe Tate who got out – welcome back!

He brought her to the depot to bandage her up when she tells him they aren’t related – which Joe was confused about.

Ruby arrived at the same time as Jai. And while Ruby tried to get Steph out very quickly, Jai began to question why she was at the woods.

When they get home, flowers arrive. Caleb reads the note which says: “I’m coming for you. Anthony.” While Caleb and Ruby put it down as a sick joke, Steph reminds them that they only have John’s word that he is actually buried. Could John have saved Anthony’s life? Is he alive?

Joe moved back to Home Farm

Kim treated Billy and Dawn to a weekend away, assuring them she would watch the kids. And they were delighted to accept – ready to put their marriage back on track.

But just as they left and Kim poured herself a glass of wine, the door opened. Looking much healthier than he has in months, Joe made his comeback to Home Farm.

Kim tried to get him to leave, telling him that Dawn was happy with Billy again. But Joe remained certain that he wasn’t going anywhere and that he wants to be with Dawn.

Eric gave Tracy her job back in Emmerdale recap

Feeling guilty, Vanessa tried to make things right between Eric and Tracy, but Kerry had told him to go to the police.

When Vanessa and Tracy arrived to apologise, Eric informed her he was calling the police. So, Vanessa wasted no time in calling him a hypocrite. She reminded him how he stole from Brenda. And how he had even stole from Kerry and Amy – people he considered family.

Later, Tracy was surprised to see Eric at her door and not the police. Pollard informed her he wasn’t calling them and in fact he wants to give her her job back. Tracy was grateful, but Eric reminded her that she has to earn his friendship now.

Kerry and Tracy put the past behind them

Finding Tracy at the park, Kerry told her she was the one who told Eric to call the police but that she immediately regretted it.

The pair speak honestly about what happened to Frank, and Tracy decided it was time for them to put it in the past as so much has happened since.

Tracy is probably going to need all of these friends when the truth about Nate gets revealed, because nothing ever stays a secret in SoapLand.
