And now the early release episode on ITVX has confirmed exactly what happened. *WARNING: Spoilers in this article for Wednesday April 1 episode of Emmerdale that has not yet aired on ITV, but is already available on ITVX and YouTube. The Dingle dinner took a turn when Kim started to choke (Credit: ITV) Kim Tate poisoned in Emmerdale On Monday Kim went to dinner at the Dingles’ despite Graham’s warning it was a bad idea. Kim was insistent Lydia would never let anything happen to her and she needed to put the feud to bed. We had previously seen Caleb, Cain and Chas joking about Kim “having a little accident”. And then we watched as Caleb decanted wine into a different bottle, Chas chopped apples for her dessert and someone went foraging for mushrooms in the woods. At the meal things were rocky, with Kim flying solo against a whole offering of Dingles sniping at her. Unconscious and clearly in a bad way, Kim was rushed to hospital by Liam and Lydia. The doctors worked to find out what was wrong with her. Later, Jacob said it was likely to be mushroom poisoning, but who was behind it? The Dingles all think the other did it (Credit: ITV) Cain and Joe are the prime suspects In tonight’s episode (Wednesday April 1), Graham reveals to the Dingles that Kim was poisoned by the mushrooms and all eyes initially fall on Sam. Cain is angry at the betrayal. But he faces a lot of suspicion from the family, after Sam suggests he did try to kill Kim on purpose. However, at the hospital, Kim is awake, and she is surprised to see Joe at her bedside so quickly. And after he tells her how scared he was, she accuses him of having crocodile tears over the poisoning. That’s not all, as she even suggests he could’ve been the one behind it. Appalled and shocked at her accusations, he tries to assure her that he had absolutely nothing to do with it. But is he telling the truth? And it’s a shocker. We won’t spoil it for those wanting to watch it live tonight, but it’s fair to say most fans were not expecting this. Top suspects in who poisons Kim Tate in Emmerdale We're not short of suspects in the poisoning of Kim Tate in Emmerdale, but who's top of the list? 1. Caleb Dingle He's always hated Kim and wanted revenge on her for taking his birth right, Home Farm. And now Lydia stands to inherit it, Caleb thinks if Kim has a "little accident", they can persuade Lydia to sell up and split the profits of Home Farm between them all. But will Caleb cause that accident so he can buy it himself? 2. Chas Dingle could be Kim's poisoner in Emmerdale Chas has been absolutely vehement in her hatred of Kim and wanting her punished. Despite the fact we think they'd make great friends after last week's get together, she is out for blood. Caleb's suggestion of offing Kim definitely didn't shock or outrage Chas. And even though she said she was joking, something in her voice made us think she wasn't. 3. Cain Dingle Cain was in on the conversation and he looked very thoughtful at the end. Could he punish Kim by taking Caleb's idea on board and making it happen? 4. Does Joe Tate poison Kim in Emmerdale? He feels he's had his birth right stolen too and he might want to punish Kim for that. But also he might want to frame the Dingles so she doesn't leave Home Farm to Lydia. Could he administer just enough mushrooms to give Kim a scare, but not actually kill her? 5. Graham Foster We're not buying this truce Kim and Graham have called.
